Hey guys I need some help. I bought a 93 4runner about 3 months ago. Got for 1k but needed head gasket and a few minor other things. well since i bought her I've been able to get her back to original good condition just a few more minor things and everything will work as it should. Here's the scoop when I start her up she idles high about 1500-1000 rpm's . she takes a while to warm about 15 mins. temp goes up on temp gauge about a quarter of the way and rpm's drop to about 1k rpms which is still kind of high. Wen I start driving around town temp gauge goes back to cold or barely read the temp and rpms go back to 1500-1700 rpm. she stays pretty cold which I guess shouldn't concern me but it does I want this thing to run as good as possible for as long as possible. Other problem is my rear defroster light comes on but doesn't defrost my rear window. any advice is welcome. I've done a few things that I thought might be the culprit I replaced the o2 sensor. I also heard I should try and burp or purge the cooling system?
