It doesnt happen all the time, but when it does, its a pain! There isn’t a consistent time that it happens. Sometimes first start up in the morning, then other times after driving all day, stop for 10 minutes fire it back up, and it’ll act up. It will go weeks in between stalls, then it’ll happen everyday!

The RPM’s drop, and never exceed 500. The engine will rev up to 500, then drop, then rev, then drop, then eventually die. Itll start right back up, but then the issue usually continues sucks when driving in stop and go traffic.

Any advice?

I went over everything last night, and kept hearing a "sucking" sound. I found a hose that had come loose from the side of the engine, i reattached. Hopefully this helps. I had heard before it could have been a vaccuming issue

From the left side of the intake plenum, when looking at it from the front?

I wish the fix was that easy. The 4-runner has continued to have the same issue! Its so sporatic when it happens. Run fine for weeks, then one day it acts up. Once its driven and gets up to speed and higher RPM it is fine
