94' 4 Runner 4WD auto trans Won't go into gear with shifter.

Hello I have a 1994 Toyota 4Runner 4WD automatic transmission that I changed the burnt out shift indicator bulb out in 3 days ago and now I cannot get the truck into gear unless I use the OVERRIDE BUTTON to release the shifter. Its not the fuse as Ive checked that already and I was very careful as to how I took off the plastic pieces around the shifter. Im stumped does anyone know what the problem could be? Thanks in advance. Very frustrating cause I dont know if its an expensive fix or easy quick fix. Need help asap.

First thing to rule out, is take the part off you took off to replace the bulb, and try shifting it then, it may just be something small not being aligned properly. .02
