94 runner brake lines

skinny

ok So as I'm working on my runner I have the tank out and the lines look nasty.

I would like to replace them frt to rear what size is the line just to make sure I get the right stuff.

also any pointers would be great . I have done lines in the past on other cars so this shouldn't be to bad (I think)

What tank? The brake fluid reservoir? I would think you can go to any auto parts store and tell them what you have and get what you need. Probably even pre bent for the hard lines.....

Take out a portion of the brake line and bring it with you to the auto part store. That way you can make sure you have the right size.

they sell a brake tube bender its totally worth it then all you need is a flaring tool and a 25ft roll of the right size brake line.

When I did my brake overhaul on my 1987 4 runner the tools I used are, metric flare kit, mini pipe cutter, three different pipe benders, flare wrench, drill w/ bits, vise, black magic marker, vac caps, turkey baster, and a mighty vac pump. Parts two coils of brake line , zip ties, one can of. Brake clean, and one quart of brake fluid and over forty years as a automotive technician helps.
