runs great one time out, the next time out runs bad, feels like someone is holding in back, no power, next time out runs great all kind of power and runs great, smells gassy when runs bad. everything new, 500 dollars in the shop still doing it. gas mileage goes from 15 to 12 to 8.5 up and down. cant figure it out. driving me nuts.

Mine kind of does the same thing, some times mine is loud and fast, and then sometimes it's slow and pitiful. It's totally random. Sometimes it will max out at 90mph, sometimes it'll max out at 65 mph. No idea.

Shot in the dark here, but have you checked your Throttle Position Sensor?

Tps or vaccum leak- especially if you notice a hunting idle.

only codes i get are code # 42 on engine light blinking

and also code 64 on over drive blinking.

Are you getting strange puddles around the injectors?

When I got my 3.0 runner I had issues with my injector seals being horribly bad. you can usually tell by seeing if the seal is really hard.

I removed mine and couldn't even squish them they were crumbling

Which piece are you referring to here? The actual rubber grommet that goes on the injector, or the pieces on the intake manifold that the injectors sit in?
