problem 1 (leaking gas tank)
problem 2 (when removing tank the fuel pump sending unit pressure fuel line was rusty and leaky)
bought new (used) gas tank...then i took the old sending unit out and hacksawed the rusty line coming out of the base off..then i drilled out the tube in the base and removed it from the fuel pump i then made a new line and fitted it to the fuel pump and used gas tank repair glue around the base at the new metal fuel line to base connection so it would not leak..i then replaced the fuel line on the frame up to the fuel fliter with new metal line and used a 6inch section of fuel injection hose to splice everything together
problems 1 and 2 are now fixed
new problem arises...fill tank to 1/4 full and crank...nothing..check voltage and fuel pump wire connector by tank aok..fill a lil more gas in the tank..crank crank crank..barely starts and idles up fine..shut off and crank starts right up...meanwhile NO leaks anywere
so today i go out and crank it and nothing....nothing then it starts up barely and idles up shut it off crank starts right up
so my guess is i have plenty of fuel pressure but it "leaks" off when it is not running...what am i doing wrong...im going back and checking all my connections on more time
