95 4Runner HELLLPPPPP

I just bought a 95' 4Runner...When I bought it I needed a new alternator so I changed that out - It started but needed a jump...I was told to try a new battery or battery cables.

A new battery was purchased but the posts are opposite as the battery in it was so the battery was installed backwards (I know I know, I'll never let that person touch my truck again) - anyways I got another battery, the cables seem good, I re-did my ground wire though and disconnected the stero wire for now. Even with a jump the truck will not start, it has power...

When you turn the key you get 1 click and then nothing...

Did I fry my Solinoid? Is this something hard to change? I'm also being told it could be my starter...Any suggestions as to what else it could be and other troubleshooting I should try???

Any help is GREATLY appreciated...

check the fuses

you likely fried a fuse-look at the biggest amp ones first . I don't believe 2nd gens have a fusible link but if so it would be on the positive cable so follow the connections on that cable also.
