95 rear window

Sorry to bother you guys about an age old problem. Can someone direct me to resolve an issue about my rear window. It just came back from the shop for a new clutch. My rear window worked fine before. All I hear is a light click from the tailgate when I push the bottun. Everything is plugged in under the console. The rear window lock has been pushed a thousand times by now.

ground wire

some posts I read say its a bad ground wire, I would like to have some one with more knowledge then me explain a little more, but ill be taking mine apart next weekend to check. Others say it’s the switch because it can be covered in fast food remnants because of where it sits. And still others say that a gear strips easily in it and to replace with a Mazda window motor... ill keep reading and see if I find anything. With the sound coming from the motor I would almost assume it is the ground wire.
