'95 repair help

I have a '95 3.0 ltr v6. So the other week i blew a head gasket after some major over heating. After the longest drive home ever(stopping over and over because i kept over heating) I started to tear apart the entire top half of my engine. The damn thing fought me every step of the way. After all was said and done i had new spark plugs, water pump, timing belt and i even went and grabbed a new battery. But when i went to start it nothing happened. I want to tear the starter out but can't quite figure out where the mounting bolts are. If anyone has some pictures of when the did it that would be incredibly helpful

Have you not looked in the repair manual? FSM? Haynes? Chilton? Try Google.

Did you take the heads to a machine shop for inspection?

My dad is an auto-mechanic and liked the look of them

what do you mean by nothing happen.... no relay ticks, no lights, no nothing.... did it even try to turn over.... need more info.

In other words, they were not checked? You are setting yourself up for disaster. Did you put the mechanical timing back together right? Does the engine even turn? We need a ton more info here/

I want to tear the starter out but can't quite figure out where the mounting bolts are.

This is the 3vze starter:

The bolt you can't find is hidden up behind the solenoid. You'll never see it, you have to feel for it.

FoG is completely right, by the way. Your truck overheated for a reason, and if you button that motor up without having the head checked and the block decked, you're setting yourself up to do this again in a couple months.

Ya I'm with these guys. If you have the heads off you don't put them on until they've been to the machine shop. And your dad being a mechanic should know that. It's a waste of time to put it back together with warped head cuz you'll be doing another head job really soon. I know that here it cost about 100 bucks per head at napa to have them machined. A lot cheeper then 200 buck in gaskets and labor to do it twice. And why do you think it's your starter?

Machine shop here charges $20 to check them. If all is good, you put them on and have a nice day. Sometimes they need a valve job and/or a shave which can be costly, but still far cheaper than a blown engine you will get if you overheat.
