96' 2.7L 3RZ 2WD Build Thread

Wanted to share my build over the years with the great members here on this forum. As you will tell, I have been very influenced with the JDM theme. The truck is my daily driver, commuting about 60 miles, 5 days week for work. It currently has 253K on the odometer. 2WD that is correct with hopes of converting to 4WD. Rear diff has been re-geared from stock to 4:10 (if I remembered correctly)

Future Modifications:
I know the vehicle is 2WD and some might question why spend the money to modify and upgrade. A little back history, I received the car when I first turned 15 and has stayed with the family. This car has been with me through thick and thin and holds plenty of sentiment because of the man-hours my father and I have put into the vehicle. Also has never failed me other than upkeep as the car continues to age.

With that said, future plans for this car include:
Tundra brake upgrade
4WD modification

I see you have the rare 2WD on this forum. I have been looking for someone with the 2WD to help me get some pics of my new cup holder installed. I have the 2WD and 4WD console but don't own a 3rd gen right now. My offer goes out to you, if you would take pics of the 2WD double cup holder installed on your 96 then I would give it to you for 1/2 off. I see you are semi local so if you were willing to drive to me and let me take the pics then I would give you the cup holder of your choice. I have the single and double. One of my favorite trucks on the forum - you've done a fabulous job sourcing the JDM parts and replicating the Surf. I have been/am currently doing the same thing - believe me, I know how hard it is to find those rare bits. Keep us updated, and great work!

Very nice, once you start collecting parts, you'll find out that the 4WD swap parts were probably much easier to find than all of those JDM bits and pieces.
