Hi, I need to replace the oil pan gasket. I did the transmission pan gasket that was messy but straight forward and it went fine, so now I want to tackle the 2X4, got the felpro kit - comes with TWO identical composite cork gaskets, hmmm, is there a baffle to pan /baffle to block involved on this? Can somebody give me basic overview of doing this, seems like I take out a total of 3 PLATES with bolts, using electric drill hex adapter to spin all 10 mm bolts out quick (worked super on tranny pan R&R), will put it up on ramps, want to do this ASAP, seems straightforward can I get basic directions on this, anything to look out for ?
Searched forums, surprisingly NOTHING on this...........mechanic wants $300 to do this job..................PLEASE somebody answer me ASAP need to do this. (it appears to be oozing from rear of pan, I ruled out main seal leak after removing rear plate saw it is DRY in there - comments, comments comments!) thank you!
