97 4runner braking problem

My 97 4runner with 96,000 miles is virtually impossible to brake except very gently without resulting in brake grabbing & heavy vibration. I had front pads & rotor installed @ 79,000 miles with no improvement (also cleaning/adjustment of rear). No noises involved. Would appreciate any ideas!

My '98 needs its rear brakes adjusted fairly often. I think you might be ready for new pads and getting the rears adjusted again.

Brake problem follow-up.

I didn't know about bedding in, but will now go thru the procedure. If doesn't help, will have system checked out for pads & rotor status. The tech info on this site seems to be quite extensive.
