97 4runner no power when pulling out of driveway

hey guys please help my 97 4runner won,t even hardly pull out of the driveway it starts ok runs ok trans fluid is clean no burn smell the air filter was dirty so i tried accellerating with it off no change when in any gear and you give it gas it will bawg down like it is not gettiny any fuel please any advive could the trans be gone it shifts ok or fuel filter when i rev the engine it revs ok except when i shift into gear then no power to move

So when you go to drive, the engine revs but the car doesnt want to move, or the engine wont rev and seems to loose power?

Sounds like a fuel issue, Not the trans if it bogs. Had a cavalier once that sounded like this and it was the Cat totally stopped up, but I really think you have a fuel issue from what you have said. Change the filter, or put a gauge on it to see where the pressure is at.

hey guys i took the timing belt cover off and it has jumped a hole tooth maybe two so i am replacing the belt and i hope that was the problem, the marks are not lined up and that is probably why i have a big loss of power unless there is something else?? thanks skinny
