My sister in law drives my 1997 4 runner sr5 V6, with 200k miles on it. I have had all service work needed, timing belt, hoses, etc done everytime the manuel calls for. Here is the issue...
Battery was recently replaced about 3 weeks ago, 4 runner has ran great since, today she drove to the dr office, got finished 4 runner would not crank??? Turns over fine, battery is good, we had it towed to the garage. He called and ask if I had a different key, it did and took it to him, same thing turns over great just will not crank???? He said he might need to have computer reprogrammed, why and does this sound right? If so how do you program the computer?
