97 keyless entry help, which remote?

I would love to have my keyless remote working, well actually I dont have one at all. But I do have the little toyota security box under my seat and have the little toyota security speaker light thingy in my centerconsole.

I would first like to make sure it hasn't been disconnected as I see no lights at all and I would like to know what key would work? Factory 2000 key work? Im not sure about this stuff as I know they didn't have keyless entry for most 97s..

For my first remote I actually used a remote from my fiance's 2005 Rav4 and my 4Runner is a 2001. Worked fine.

you need the remote for the R3200. Its a gray remote with only lock/unlock. Fcc-ID will start with BAB........etc.
