I had dual electrode plugs in the cyclinder with the misfire, but it was an older plug that was stuck from the previous owner.

So what is the purpose for the second ground? another option for the electricy to travel correct?

not sure, not an engineer... but my guess would be to provide greater spark or keep the plug cooler, and less wear on the plug... but again im not an engineer so those are only guesses

Our motors will run on normal plugs, but it just burns them up easily, which causes missing, bad mpgs, etc.. It's because the 3.4 has a waste spark ignition system, which means the plugs fire on both the compression and exhaust strokes. Twice the work, so 2 electrodes to wear down. At least that's how I understand it.
