Having a problem with my 4runner. My 4x4 doesn't work right! and the regular shifter side doesn't work! If I try to shift into 2H or 4H, the car loses power and there is grinding noise when the car slows down. If I try using the right side gear shift in drive same thing happens. What is wrong?

so ur shifter looks like this?
right side shifter is just a regular car, Park, drive, so forth.
left shifter has the 4wd button (engage only below 62mph but I like 10) and also has the hi/lo shift, only can shift from one to the other while right shifter is in park or neutral. Is this how you're doing it? See any lights flashing on dash?
