98 4Runner 2.7 L 3RZ-FE I4 questions

I just went and looked at a 98 4x4 supercharged 2.7 it has 45,000 miles on it. During the test drive I backed out of the driveway and the car shut off. Is this a common problem, and what does it mean? I was flipping through some of the receipts he had and he took it to dealer a lot with complaints about the supercharger and weird noises. He said it sat for a very long time. He is the second owner and he's owned it for a year now. So what kind of problems can I be getting into with a car with low miles that hasn't been driven in a long time?

45,000 miles? Wow. If it's reasonably priced, who cares what the problem is. Use the stalling to your advantage and figure it out later.

yeah, front fender, and hood both have basketball size dents and the driver side doors have been fixed from an accident. But he said hes firm at $10,000.

F that. Not sure what's wrong with it as I'm not real well versed in the 3RZ's but you should PM ChildrenofBodom. He knows a thing or two about them. But at $10K with the body damage it's not worth it.
