I have had an ongoing problem that I cannot figure out what is wrong, I have a problem with the brake light/e-brake light coming on all the time. It comes on typically if I do a hard turn like coming out of a parking spot or a driveway and accelerate. It also comes on if I accelerate a little faster than normal too. When it comes on It wont go off till i let off the gas for a few seconds....I have asked many people what this could be, no one seems to know what is going on and I have run out of things to think. Ive checked the brake fluid level and its fine also.

Any Ideas?

It sounds like it is tripping the brake fluid level sensor. Either that or there is a loos wire that is moving around. I would try checking the connection the sensor and start tracing wires. Another thought it to take apart your console where the e-brake is. The cover just snaps off. Check to make sure the switch moves freely in there.

The light is most likely telling you that the level in your brake fluid reservoir is too low. This is usually caused by worn brake pads.

Open the reservoir, add a little brake fluid and see if the problem goes away. Don't add much, or the brake fluid will overflow when you replace the worn pads with new ones.

A momentary low fluid level can also be caused by rear brake shoes that are out of adjustment. If this is the case, the brake pedal should be low and feel soft. Fix this by using the rear brake shoe self-adjuster, activated by pulling on the parking brake while backing up.
