Just recently my '98 4runner started acting up when attempting to start it. Upon turning the key over nothing no sounds whatsoever. After 3 or 4 times of doing so it would start. Can anyone help me...
Have you cleaned the battery terminals? Could be an intermittent connection. Use a wire brush to clean the terminals (especially the positive as it will tend to corrode) and the clamps.
It's the starter contacts which sometimes can be replaced depending on the miles on the actual starter;mine was doing the same thing at about 155k miles and I just replaced the whole starter.
