98 no factory fog lights

New to the forum, so I apologize if I missed a discussion on this topic.

I'd like to replace my existing turn signals with a combination turn signal, fog light.

With the newer LEDs being as small as they are, it seems like this should be possible.

Is there such a thing?

I bought a oem one at the dealer and it works perfect but my truck (1999) was prewired from the factory not sure about 1998's

To be honest with you there's not really such a thing that I've seen, unless you go newer.
Many 98's like yours and mine didn't come with factory fogs. So you either need to buy a new light stalk with a fog light switch, something I plan on, or wire in a separate switch, or wire the fogs into the parking light circuit so they are constantly on.

It would probably be easiest to buy some cheapo lights and mount them into the lower plastic valence or onto the top oh the bumper. There are many of these pictures around I suggest using the section specific site search (one of the sticky threads on the top of the 3rd gen page) to find the best results.

96-98 had a FOG option that was basically a Hella kit with a matching factory looking dash mounted illuminated switch. Installed at the dealer.

I'm not worried about the switch. Just looking for a mount that looks original. I've seen the "factory " option inside the grill. I also thought about cutting circular holes in the plastic valance. But the turn signal bezel is big enough that it should accommodate the newer smaller LED fogs as well as LED turn signals. I can fabricate the mounts and reflectors if I could find a clear cover.

I'm also considering the slim bars of LEDs in the grill. Has anyone done that?
