*V8 4.7l conversion* 98 white 4runner build - Raleigh, NC

Hey guys,

I just got this truck in spring of this year and it was completely stock but in great shape. NO rust at all, auto, 170k miles, good clean base so I got to work. Did a ton of stuff to it and I will list mods later, just want to show some pictures at its current state now. Sitting on 3in lift with toytec coils in the front and bilstein shocks all around and OME springs in the rear. I also added a 2inch body lift from toytec, tundra big brakes, 33's and best of all.... 4.7 v8 tundra swap!!!! Still have many plans for it, but for now it is a fun daily I just go to and from work in. Enjoy!

Singtoe, your thread pretty much inspired me to go for the 4.7 swap lol My brother in law is actually the one that bought your 3.4, he has the green 2nd gen that he wants to swap. He actually sold the motor and he's going to sell the 2nd gen and buy a 3rd, I have converted him over :hello:

For the yakima racks, I carry two cannondales on there, mountain bikes. I do a lot of riding with my brother at Umstead park and a few other trails.

If anyone knows any good spots around here to wheel, let me know. I'm down to wrench or take the truck out whenever. Hope to see some of you Raleigh folks soon!

Hey Singtoe, as far as the 4.7 swap, would a tundra be best? And does it matter if its the vvti version? I also have the 98 model so my odometer is not digital so Im wondering how the cluster swap would work.
