As mentioned earlier, this would be the ideal vehicle, but I feel it's too much work and money. Out of curiosity, how much does this cost... if done right??

My Tacoma was that color. It really is the best color for any vehicle, in my opinion.

Theres no way I could sell that LC. WANT.

to many variables to get an exact cost, I'm gathering parts for my sas and sofar I've spent 3k that's just knuckles and third member. buy I'm also building a 609 so its not the cheapest route. You could get fj80 axles and run the front radius arm setup and get the adapter for mini truck gear cases and probably be into it for under 5k if you do all the work yourself.
As much as I would like to go this route, I just don't have the time, money, or expertise to do all the work myself. Thanks for all the compliments on the color & condition of the Cruiser! Think I'll end up keeping it, and unfortunately I feel it's gonna get some pin-striping when I do run narrower trails like the Miller Jeep Trail in SoCal... guess that will add character!

I have never owned a LC, but from everything Ive read I think I would prefer the LC over my 4runner. The advantages in my book . . .
-Solid front axle. Eliminates the issues with the faulty steering rack in 3rd gens. Tougher. And of course provides more capability.
-Factory dual lockers.
-More interior space. I like sleeping in the back of my 4runner when I go camping. Haul a bunch of stuff on weekend trips. But even being a short guy its too cramped. The LC would be perfect for camping trips/excursions.
-I like the leather interior in LCs.
-More power, and can be supercharged just like the 3rd gen for even more.
-Again Ive never owned or even ridden in one, but Ive read they have surprisingly good road manners.
-Like others said, the rareness and uniqueness of the LC. Every now and then I see one driving down the road and its gets me all excited

Mine doesn't have lockers... need to install ARB's. Didn't know that my motor can be supercharged... Need to do a search on this! Your last sentence made me laugh
