My headlights suck on my 97 and have read here that the 99+ headlights are better. Is it a direct fit? or is there any kind of modifications needed.

Thanks

yep,

both those two are right. definitely get a 99-02 headlight. Unfortunately, if you find any you have to give them to me first! LOL

j/k,

Good luck finding some, Ive been looking for 9 months or so and havent gotten any yet.

you can buy new OEM ones on 189$ a frickin side from Toyotapartscheap.com or Toyotapartscenter.net just no good...

Dealership will prob quote you over 200$ a side...

Yeah! The cheapest I've found them is 179 at a TRD parts website. Mine are in such bad shape that I bought a pair of aftermarket OEM replacement ones on Ebay for 112 for the pair. Hopefully they'll work better than what I've got, I'll keep looking in the meantime.

Thanks

I also bought the aftermarket replacement lights, and LOVE them! The light output is much better than my old lights! People complain about the light output on them, but I'm happy with them! Not to mention you can't beat the price of the Ebay ones!

Ok I am going to put this out in another thread..... There is a Toyota salvage yard near me that ships parts. 99-02 4 Runner headlight assemblies $100 per side.
