Well, I just ordered a new 06 sport, so my trusted 99 4-runner has to go. I special ordered this truck back in 99, for 5-speeds were almost impossible to find in the North East. I'm the original owner and truck has been garaged most of it's like. Here are the specs:
- Fully loaded SR5. Sunroof, towing package, the works.
- Rear heater and cargo cover options.
- Dark Red with tan cloth interior. Very hard color to find in 99.
- Rare 5-speed manual transmission. MUCH quicker than automatic for that year. Tows better than automatic.
- 65,000 miles. Very well taken cared of, oil changes, regular tire balances, etc.
- No accidents or damage
- Towing package: Class 3 hitch and rear helper springs (all Toyota)
- Like most Toyotas, nothing ever broke. VERY reliable.
- Just polished and waxed.
-Interior is in excellent condition. Just a wear spot on the driver floor mat. Non-smoking driver.
-Have orginal window stick and sales brochures.
Non-Stock items:
-Bridestone Dueler Revos. About 12K mils on them. Excellent condition, far superior than stock Goodyears. Stock size. Balanced and rotated ever 5K miles.
- Performance Products 1" lowered high-performance springs and KYB shocks. Handling is EXCELLENT! Like no other SUV in it's class. Have no problem keeping up with cars on off-ramps. Also helps keep the vehicle level when towing.
- Amsoil high-flow washable air filter. Much better than K&N
- Thule rack system w/2 bike carriers and locks. All with single key. Integrated into the factory roof rack, so it doesn't look out of place. Can now add over 400lbs. to the roof bars (factory roof rack is only 200)
I do have some rim scuffs on one of the wheels from the alignment tool at National Tire (Couldn't align the thing to save their life!!!! Went to Sunoco for a perfect alignment). Only defect I can think of.
I never thought I'd replace my baby, but a test drive on an 06 Rav4 V6 changed my mind.
I own this outright, no loans to pay off. Sticker price was $29,600
