'99 struts

I have a 99 limited 4wd with 101k miles. The struts need replacing and I was wondering if anyone could tell me what make they are and if I could get a better deal on them anywhere besides the dealer. If anyone has recomendations on better struts that would be great.

The '99 has coil-over shocks in the front. They look a little like struts, but they're not.
You can just replace the shock without replacing the spring, it just takes more effort.
 
im sorry about that when I said the struts I mean the shocks. and the two in the front seem to be fine. its just the two in the rear

In the rears, you don't have a coilover setup like the front. With your miles, your OEM stocks are probably worn down already. Look to switch all four in one shot.

If you want a stiffer but better handling ride, go with Bilsteins. If you want a softer, more stock like ride, look into Tokiko Trekmasters, KYB's or OEM. A set of Bilsteins will run you about $300 shipped while the other choices are cheaper. Good luck.
 
If you don't off road and just want a nice stock ride you can't beat the OEM shock and coils and they don't have to cost you and arm and a leg. I got the full set from Conicelli Toyota on-line for under $400 shipped.
BTW Tokico is the supplier for the OEM replacements.
