99 tall springs?

I keep seeing this mentioned and still don't have a handle on it after reading the stickies. Are stock 99 read springs taller then the rest of the gen 3's. I have a 97 RWD and just purchased the daystar 2.5/1.5. My springs are likely pretty worn at 140k. I was wondering if I purchased the Moog springs for a 99 off partsgeek would they yield more height then new 97 Moog springs?

Yes, the '99's are taller than all other models and no you will not get any additional height from the '99 Moog springs. You need to buy used or new Toy. factory springs.

I just put Moogs (no specific year since all 3rd gen have the same part number) on the rear of my 155K mile 2000 Highlander and it raised the ass end up an inch and a half. I am not sure if that was all due to sag, but the springs were MUCH taller than my stock 2000s. They have a full extra wrap, 7 vs 6 wrap.

I think they are probably taller, since in my 99 i have 265/75 km2's and it doesnt rub anywhere..

I had a picture of the springs lined up from '96-'02 but I cant seem to find it. From '96 to '99 the spring height increased every year, with '99 having the most pronounced increase (The tallest.) In 1999/'00 Exploders with Firestone tires started falling over on the freeways. This scared Toyota into dropping the ride height back down to prevent possible rollovers. So '00 -'02 springs were back to pre-'99 heights.
