99 tall springs

do all 99's have the tall springs?

I think most all 4x4 SR5 and Limited 99's had Talls.. I am unsure but I have had a 99 Highlander and just bought a 99 Limited, both with the factory "Tall" coil.

Some one could correct me if I am wrong but all highlanders had tall spring and sr5 and limited with 16" wheels had them also.
I have a 99' sr5 window sticker says 16" wheels. Haven't check the spring but I am sure they are tall. I'm sitting at 21.50-21.75" on all corners.

thanks for the info guys. just got a 99 sr5 and trying to figure out my lift options. it doesnt look any taller than other runners but i could be wrong. i also have the factory 16" wheels. any other indicators to see if i have them?

Toyota simply spec'd taller coils on the 1999's. And then around this time, there was a big suv roll-over scare. As a result of this, Toyota lowered the 4runner for 2000-2002 for safety reasons (more like because people don't understand that you can't drive a 4runner like a race car).

If you were to see a 1999 side by side with a 2002, theres a pretty big height difference between them.
