A Bunch Of Maint Recently / Parts Used With Success

So I haven't posted here much and my 2002 4Runner is my daily/winter vehicle and recently I wanted to get it more so highway ready (had a house built so moving soon) and just had some things due plus sprung a leak on my steering rack

Lets start with the exhaust I checked here and it seemed people had good luck with the walker parts... Fitment was great and the truck is nice and quiet no hardware is supplied so be aware and make sure you have all needed gaskets plus the 2 upstream o2 sensor nuts

Replaced drive belts, nothing special there used the gates brand and their idler pully

Something that didn't haaave to be replaced but I wanted to since all the tabs were broken that bolt it to the body was the air box fit right in no issues

Lower ball joints went with Toyota replacements

One of the main issues that started this was my rack was leaking pretty good so looked at what I could find (gave this a shot being that its a new unit) so far so good installed with no issues other than the old rack fighting all the way coming out... It does not come with outter tie rods so got those as well

A last minute pick up while the rack was coming down was the power steering pressure line it was very badly rusted (I work for Nissan so I got it for less)

The rack came with all of the bushings with the exception of the large one that goes around it so I had this but only needed the one out of it

I did brakes last summer with toyota rotors and pads and shortly after the passenger caliper locked up sooo wound up getting a pulsation not horrible but kind of annoying if coming off the highway to a stop or just slower speeds, replaced both calipers with reman units but still had a pulsation so just slapped these on since everything else was being done and its been fine (I have the 16's)

Was having issue with the canister(also anything around it was very rusty) and also one of the lines coming off of it to the tank, picked that up from toyota for $20 and I have got to say for aftermarket this was a nice unit (comes as shown in the pic bracket it sits on to all the lines and clamps straight plug and play)

And on top of all this I have state inspection coming up so I can't have any check engine light on but other than that its just emissions

4Runner is running great, quiet, smooth and ready for many more miles but man do I want one of those new trd editions in white

Thanks for the links, much appreciated. I purchased my T4R about a month ago and have been doing non stop maintenance on it. Glad to see someone else that went with the Walker cat back; although mine was for 99-00. Now I'm focusing on the front end so these links will come in handy for sure.

Next up is the valve cover gaskets that have been slowly leaking for a while and much of the things needed to be done with the and while you are there

And as for the alignment HA! I tried to make sure it was all soaked in pb blast a week or so before hand and that day and while it got into the green (wasn't real bad before) the bolts for the lower control arms wouldn't even budge with the torch and all just nope if I ever want them to move they will need to be cut out

I used to buy AAE racks for an import parts distributing company. I have one their new racks on my VW GTI and one of their rebuilt units on my e30 BMW; I haven't had any issues. We had very few real defects, biggest issue with replacement racks is that people don't do a complete flush and push contaminated fluid into the replacement. Some of the new racks they sell are made by the Chinese supplier that makes the racks for every Jeep Cherokee in the world.
