A/C Light Flashing at Low RPM

The A/C blows cold as long as engine RPMs are above ~1000. However, if it drops to idle, then the A/C clutch disengages and the dash light starts to blink.

I've replaced the A/C relay and tested the low-pressure switch (bypassed it temporarily) and it's the same issue. The operating pressures are good.

My thinking is it may be the speed sensor in or on the compressor itself? Once engine rpm's come back up, I press the A/C button and it comes back to life until the next stop.

Has anyone had a similar issue or know of a way to confirm that before I swap the compressor on a hunch?

Your workup looks good to me. I think replacing the compressor is the next step

I replaced the magnetic clutch relay. Solved the problem. Not sure if that's the same relay that you replaced.
