I have a 98 that the a/c clutch has seized on. I want to replace it but the shop says it could be as high as $1800. I want to buy an aftermarket part and have them install which will be cheaper, but still with the freon and labor will be pricey. Anyone have any ideas. I don't know if the compressor is fried but the shop says it needs to be replaced as well with out looking at it.
