A/C Recharge

I just replaced a hose on my a/c system and I have no idea how long the a/c system has not been working for. The system says it has a oil capacity of 7oz should i put 7oz of oil in it or less since i am only replacing a hose. Also what is the best way to put it in the ststem, should i just poor it into the new hose?

I wouldn't charge it up yet. I'd flush the system first and then pull a vaccum and see if it is.still leaking. Did you only replace 1 hose?

How much you add depends on how much, if any, leaked out.
Best thing is to do as suggested above.

unless you want to be working on it again, do it right the first time.

verify the system is sound first. and have the oil replaced.
any halfway competent shop can do this, and it shouldnt be too expensive.
much cheaper than another compressor.
