Thanks. I think it looks good. I know that there is a more silver/grey carbon fiber out there. That might match a little better.

this is a quick fix...just lightened the carbon layer...

I hope you all know that I can do much better than this in photoshop *LOL* these are just quick "what if's"

The Mountaineer was my inspiration to search it out in the first place. There was just something missing in the rear of our 4runners, so I tried to dress it up a bit. Thx for the classy comment. Based on the pic you provided it looks pretty damn good on a grey 4runner too.

This thread is great. I haven't gotten thru it yet, but had to stop and comment.

24runners: I used to be on this forum all day at work too....until I recently quit. This forum was the best part of my day and it helped me stick out my job a few extra months. I used to have plenty of things I would like photoshopped but I'm drawing a blank right now......except maybe to see my top grill with the billet inserts painted black.
 
As far as the black dash......I love the look. My girlfriends Corolla S has an the entire interior black and I wish mine did. At least the lower dash part and the door panels. I always wondered what it would look like and thanks to your pics I was able to tell. I think they should have done this for the 4runner Sport to set it even further apart from the SR5 & Limited. I do however like the trim piece to stay silver, but I wish they would have made it out of real metal. The silver piece directly below the radio looks a lot better in black imo. Certain models come with it black (like mine) and others do not.

Anyway, thanks again for the fun thread and I look forward to seeing what you display next.

I agree...I like the black dash with the silver trim piece (would be even better if it was metal)

I'm open for ideas if anyone wants to play "what if" :)

btw...I have edited the posts so the pics aren't using T4R's bandwidth
 
Awesome work in photoshop! I'm picking up my 2005 Sport Silver this week. Thinking of what wheels I should get if any. I didn't think I would go with a smaller until I saw timber725 American Racing wheels. If you have time, would you mind putting on your 4runner to see what it would look like. Hope I did this right, this is my first post here. Thanks!

I have no idea if they will fit or not, but here's what they'd look like if they were on a silver 4runner :)

Very cool. I like those rims too. Tires look much bigger. I checked the search and the sport has a bigger disc assembly so 17" rims min. a must.

However, Good Times (Lance) suggested swapping out an SR5 assembly if you really have your heart set on 16" rims. I don't know if it is possible but he seems to think so.

Nice work...that looks sweet. I think I like that style of rim. I'm torn between that look and the Enkei Deep6 which I've seen around. I'm going down today to check out some Akuza rims. They have a couple that may look real nice on Silver. Thanks again guys!
 
BAD ASS, that looks nice. If you could get you hands on some limited running boards then that would be tight. I have always liked the silver, i was either going to get silver or white and they had my white one with the jbl on the lot and i would of had to wait for a silver one with that. So i got white. Put them on a black runner i bet that would be really sweet. When are you going to get the wheels?
 
Could you paint that last 4Runner with the rims and limited boards in a Galactic Gray. That's what mine will look like in the spring.

Where did you get yours from? I got mine from SOS in Florida. I wish the weather was better. I've got them in a closet until Spring.
 
Got mine from the same place Noloc....I will be going to Panama City in March so I get to meet them and show them my 4Runner with the rims on it ;)
