A few quick fire road picts

I went up to a fire road on Sunday that I used to bike to see what these tires had left in them before I get a new set (almost no tread depth left). I found a few spots that I know I could pass, but the tires just wouldn't let me, even in 4Lo w/the center diff locked.

Saw a coyote here on my way through, but he was too quick for my camera.

Spooky...

150' + drops to either side. Way narrower in person than it looks here.

I didn't think I'd make it up this with my Dunflops, but the 'runner walked right up no problem. Snapped a photo on the way back down.

Those are some nice photos that you took.

Whenever I get on the trails, I hate to get out for a photo since I usually track mud and dirt when I get back in.

I finally got some Weathertech Extreme floormats installed, so next time I get out on a trail, I'm going to try and take some photos like yours.

Thanks. When I get my new tires I'm going to go conquor the ruts and ledges that wouldn't let me pass! I'd hardly say I'm an off-roader now, I'm just learning. I'm surprised every time I go out what I can drive through and over, and I keep telling my self this is with stock suspension and 45k old dunlops.

Drive north up Archibald until it "ends", although it doesn't really end (you'll know when you're there). Keep going up the hill and look for the dirt road on your left. That takes you up into the hills and from there there's several fire roads and power pole access roads that you can drive on. Some of them have gates that are open some times. If they're closed I don't mess with them, but if they're open then :zoom: . You can find another little stock-friendly area adjacent to Cucamonga Canyon. The turn off for that place is a little dirt road on the north side of the dirt portion of Almond Road at about 34*09'43"N 117*38'00"W.
