A General Question

Just wondering after reading the news: Do the new 4Runners have the "black box" that logs everything about them? I'd hate to think the police could check it after a wreck and see that I was at fault or something.

No they do not have them. As far as I know, no Toyota has them installed. Mainly GM is doing it with their vehicles. I'm sure there are others but I don't know of any right off hand.

havent read about it but heard it on a radio talk show last night. seems like the onstar system can collect data about you too. a caller called in saying how his friend's wife tracked down the friend using onstar. scary. the show was also talking about how progressive insurance is offering some kind of discount if you put a blackbox on your car.

I don't think the insurance company wants to know where my 4runner's been! ;) They'd prob revoke my insurance!

I wish it did. I need proof that I was wearing my seat belt when I was pulled over for not wearing one.
