A question about UCA's and wheels and tires

I don't really care about how they compare it's semantics when talking about body mount rub.

TRD Wheels with 1.25" spacer poke out beyond the fenders and rub aggressively.

-38 offset wheels poke out beyond the fenders and rub aggressivly.

-10 offset wheels sit just about flush and rub a smidge.

But great point...one is closer to another...

I never said anything about comparing them in terms of bmc rub. I was talking about interference with the JBA UCA's. but keep on being passive aggressive, it's a great look when someone asks you a simple question about your experience with some equipment on a forum meant for discussion about equipment. and no, it's not "semantics". If you're going to try being a snarky, arrogant *******, you should probably try using the English language correctly as a baseline.

what I personally found when researching the SCS wheels is that all the really "beefy" looking trucks were either the 17x9 -38 wheels, or the -10 17x8.5 wheels with spacers.

Has anyone had issues with the stock 2010 ver trail rims? I’m planning on doing 285s on stock 7.5 TE wheels, 3 inch lift with UCA....I never saw anyone ever talking about needing spacers but just BMC and trimming, seems rare for UCA rubbing

Has everything to do with what uca you choose and your alignment.

100% agree. I researched a lot and came up with the same. Every time I thought I found a truck stance I liked with the -10s they had wheel spacers. -38s may be the best looking offset for our trucks and I would definitely go that route vs -10 with spacers. I ended up not going with SCS at all though. Maybe in the future.

What pro comp wheels did you get sir?

I just bought a Fox 2.5 set-up and SPCs. Got 285/70/17s going on too. Was waging the mental war between stock ORP wheels or making a purchase. Saw a few Pro Comps that looked good.

I ended up going with the Vertigo wheels in matte grey. I think it’s the 40 series. They are 17x9 -6 offset. Sticks out slightly and gives a good stance. I had no issues rubbing anything so I still haven’t installed my SPC UCAs yet. One day I will prolly decide to get SCS -38s but I’m liking these for now.

I was actually about to go with the Summit Offroad wheels based on a few trucks I found on Instagram that looked good with them, but A: the company took almost two weeks to respond to me via email, their website, and various social media platforms, responded once with a short reply, and never actually answered my questions. B: two of the three T4R's I liked posted on the same day that they were running spacers. C: I just so happened to finally catch one of the SCS product drops and got my purchase done in the first minute they were available (turned out I didn't need to, guess the virus economy crash had less people buying fancy wheels, they ended up being available for about two days instead of the 2 minutes you hear about on this forum).

Got some links to the summit wheels. I am eyeing the new SCS wheels. and whatever UCA's I would need to run them.

My 4R is the same color I like those wheels. I know SPC makes UCA's for a stock set up or with high caster.

Idk why anyone would buy aftermarket wheels just to run spacers. My -10s sit rim flush with the fenders and the tires do the poking. Very clean look.

-38 is X amount more leverage on hubs. They also seem decent at throwing rocks at peoples windshields.

JBA but as stated I think there are plenty of other good options. I chose these for the GM ball joint which I can replace at autozone anywhere in the country.

Thanks, I have looked at the Dirt kings but the SPC seem to be the most reasonable priced. and I don't know the difference between brands.
