Aaargh! What Did I Do? Brake Warning Light On

Okay, so I pulled into my garage with the rear gate open and damaged the spoiler. I can deal with that but now I have the brake warning light and all related traction control lights on. I'm guessing that when I disconnected the third brake light and pulled the spoiler it triggered the brake warning light which then set the rest off. I reconnected the third light w/o the spoiler and it works as do all my brake lights. I disconnected the negative cable to reset the ECU and the lights stayed on after reconnecting the battery.

ScanGauge shows no codes but is displaying the "not ready" message. Do I just need to put on some miles for it to be ready? Is there anything that could cause this?

Okay, the more I think about this the less sense it makes. First, the traction control is probably unrelated since it happens occasionally and is likely coincidental. Second, pulling the wire for the third brake light shouldn't trigger an error though I'm just guessing and assume it would act just like a burned out bulb.

Since I got new wheels yesterday I'm leaning towards a bad sensor connection giving the brake warning light. Can anyone confirm that as a reason the light would come on?

Last, how long does it take for the ECU to reset so I can check for errors? As I said I'm at the "not ready" reading right now.
