If you are talking about USED tires...I wouldn't trust Craigslist.
I have purchased used tires from a local tire shop...
but only because I was broke, and because I had a business that I could return to if there was something wrong with them.

But your search is like buying ANYTHING.
Shop for the best price on what you want.

I like steel wheels, you could try Steel Wheels Buying Guide | eBay for those, got them for 05 Matrix plus Craigslist snow-tires, $50 per rim(new) and $100 for all 4 tires(like new). $300 + free mount and balance total. That's what I'm going to look for price wise, comparatively speaking. (Not driving the 4Runner in the snow(salt), garaged for the winter.) I think I did look up steel wheels and the price was $63 each on eBay.

http://www.toyota-4runner.org/rocka...code-parts-more-expires-january-3-2018-a.html has some 17" steel wheel too, if I remember correctly.

Another thing about tires, look around at what others are driving, I've seen some Michelin's I really like, but I want a street tire for summer, expecting not to do any serious off-road.

Currently I received nearly new Big-O Bigfoot's that are slightly oversized 265-75-16, not my preference, but will likely run them till a well priced budget set lines up. My buddy really likes the look, but I fear for early wheel bearing failure.

I'm pretty close to pulling the trigger on the trd wheels ($185 ea) from the dealer.

The current tire size on my runner is 265/65/17. I'm mostly highway miles but occasionally hit some dirt roads when I'm hunting. I'm trying to figure out if I should stick with a highway tire or move up to an all terrain tire? Should I stick with 265/65/17 or bump up to a 265/70/17?

Thanks for the help.

I have 265/65/17 on there now (03' SR5 4X4, v8), will 265/70/17's rub? Should I stick with 265/65/17's? Think Imma go with BFG KO2's..

I went with the FN fX TRD pro wheel and love them, $760 shipped. Before the lift I had Nitto Terra Grappler G2's 265/70/17 and no rubbing issues whatsoever.

Hankook Dynapro ATM's have pretty decent tread. Good road manners on the highway and are capable on dirt and mud. I found them better in the rain and snow than my KO2's, so I stuck with them when I bought a new set of tires this year.

Rims are entirely your personal preference. I like the TRD Pro rims, but there are a lot of good aftermarket options. I went with the Level 8 MK6 with a -10 backspacing. Fit better than my stock 5 spokes with 1.25" spacers did.

Thanks for the info.

80% of my driving is highway until I go hunting on the weekend, then its gravel/mud roads (nothing crazy). Think I should go with a trail tire or an all terrain?

Here she is, all done:

BFG AT KO2s 265/70/17 w/ TRD Pro 17" Graphite wheels. They slightly rubbed when turned all the way so I removed the front mud flaps and pulled the wheel lining forward, easy fix. I need to get some wheel locks for these TRD wheels, any recommendations?
