About what mileage are front wheel bearing due on 2007, 4th Gen, 2WD, SR5? I’m at 53,000 now and have not noticed a problem that I know of. I purchased Certified at 43,000 (2010) and felt for play w/o feeling any. When is this service normally due or what indicators will I get before damages??

You will probably hear it more than likely or feel that you need to swap. I'm at 170k, I swapped drivers at 145k, passenger is still good.

There isn't a service interval for front wheel bearings. They are a sealed unit and only need to be replaced or service when they go bad. That is very low mileage and I wouldn't expect to see any issues until at least 100,000 miles or higher. My 2004 has 225k on it, and I am getting a little noise out of the front. Mine might be the side bearings of the differential though. I won't know until I tear into it.

I started hearing a dirt bike following me around 139,000 and it got louder so I had it checked. Pass side was gone and driver side was going. Never drove like crap, just sounded like 44" thornbirds on a ford with glass packs!
Both replaced at 141,460 and I didn't have the tools or time so I paid a local shop $960 out the door.

Nah, probably not. Just seems that way. I just bought my 2006 last spring with 94k and ended up replacing the driver's side bearing in the fall. Now I've got another bad bearing to replace. I can't tell if it's the same one. Doesn't sound like it.

I just checked my front wheels the other day. One was solid but the other had a tiny bit of play. Do you know of a write-up on how to tighten this nut, or can you tell me how to do it? I searched but didn't find anything. Thanks.

Unfortunately when I posted the post you quoted I haven't owned my 4runner that long and I didn't realize these T4Rs have a sealed fixed/pressed in bearing, and as such you can't tighten them or repack them with grease as you can with other types of front wheel bearings.
That being said if you have play in the front wheel bearing it has to be replaced, I would recommend getting the complete hub/bearing assembly which will be a bolt on application, otherwise if you just get a bearing you will need to have a 20 ton press to remove/press out the old bearing and press in the new bearing or take it to a machine shop to have it done and you would still have to remove the hub/bearing assembly and reinstall it.
