ABS Light COde reading
Yep I thopught so too but it seems toyota didnt follow others until a later year, Mine has no OBD II connector I can find an it still has the test connector on the drivers side of the intake manifold.
I also called Azone and they said we dont have one for that car= its not oibdII

OK OK all you guys were right of course its OBD II. Guess I was so used to using the test connector on earlier models.
Anyways THIS STILL DOES NOT HELP!
The scantool on the obd port picks up no codes but yet the abs light glows bright. Obviously the ABS has its own diagnostic procedure.
Does anyone know the proper way to recall ABS codes?

how to check abs codes
This is for a tundra but supposed to be the same procedure.

The ECU doesn't show ABS codes. The OBDII interface doesn't show ABS codes. The ABS computer is where you pull ABS codes from, and it only comes from:
Turn the ignition ON (don't start the engine)
Pop the hood
Find the "DIAGNOSTICS" connector that's on the drivers side of the engine, on the high edge of the intake plenum.
Pop the top, and you'll see something like:

(front of truck)In the lower left, you'll find a small plug that pulls out. That's a "shorting pin", pull it.
Now use a piece of wire to jumper from E1 to Tc
Look back at the dash, the ABS light should be blinking.
The blinking is in a pattern. For example, if you see BLINK-BLINK {pause} BLINK-BLINK-BLINK {long pause} {repeat} that would be code "23"
Once you get the code, pull the jumper wire from E1/Tc, put back the shorting pin, and confirm that you can start the truck.
This is for a tundra but supposed to be the same procedure.

The main fuse block under the hood has an ABS fuse in it. It's a big square 60 amp (I think) fuse. You can probably see if it's blown from on top, but if you have to replace it, you need to unscrew the fuse block and tilt it sideways so you can get to the screw that actually holds the ABS fuse in from underneath.
I have to bring this thread back from the dead. I have ABS Light on and i have no clue whats going on. I can probably figure out how to get the code from the engine bay but then what? What do the codes mean haha

PS Nothing I did caused the light to come on. It was on when i purchased the truck used a couple months ago.

Go off of this. It fixed mine. But make sure the ignition is OFF before your start pulling and connecting things.
