ABS light on

Replaced the outer CV boots, LBJ, and tie rod ends last weekend - and now the ABS light is on. I left the upper BJ attached and was "manipulating" the steering knuckle to get the shaft out - wondering if I could have inadvertently messed up the lead to the front sensors. I removed both and cleaned them - no luck. When I turn the key on the ABS pump seems to run - but can't recall having heard it run while driving. Any thoughts? This is an '02 with auto trans...

Under the hood theres like a obd port looking thing. You need to take a paper clip of something connect the pins and count many times the abs light or check engine flashes to see what is wrong. Something like that...

You can check the sensor with an ohm meter.

My ABS light came on after changing out my right rear axle seal. I guessed that I damaged the wheel speed sensor during the process when I pulled it from the axle housing. Following this video confirmed the diagnosis:

I have a DIY version of Toyota Techstream and it has the ABS module, but my '99 ABS is not computerized like the '02 so I've never used it for ABS. But if you are near Basking Ridge one of these days, I'd be happy to try to read your error codes. No guarantee, though. Most dealers will charge you $80 for a diagnostic.
