abs light on

I searched your forum but didnt see a thread that applies. My 90 4runner the abs light came on, I didnt even know it had abs. i looked under the hood and in the rear and couldnt see any module or sensors. at this point, im assuming thet there is a proportioning valve on the rear axle. is that the anti lock? none of the manual I have have any info on the brake system, they just refer me to the dealer. any help would be appreciated

There should be a LSPV (prop valve) on the rear axle, but that's not part of the ABS.
The early ABS sensor was built into the rear diff.
