Abs light problem

I have a 01 4runner I have owned about 1 year. when I bought it the ABS and both VSC lights were on all the time while driving. I found lots of info on here about many problems with these systems. I tried some of the tips on fixing this that I found on this site with no good results. this weekend I was changing my oil and filter. I have always taken the skid plate off to access the filter which is a pain in the ass. but I only had the strap type filter wrench and needed room. it also seemed like it would be a big mess with the oil coming out of the filter while removing it and getting all over the skid pan. I wanted to try something different so I bought a filter wrench that goes on the end of the filter and is 3/8 drive. as I suspected makes somewhat of a mess. now for the good part of all this. when installing the new filter I noticed 2 wires on top of the frame in front of the UCA that had been pulled out of the plastic connector. upon following where the wires went I found it went near the brake rotor. so I found where the had came disconnected from, cleaned everything up and reconnected it. after finishing the oil change and greasing the zircs, I rotated the tires. when I started the engine to check for leaks from the filter the abs and vsc lights went out after a few seconds. first time ever! I am thinking whoever did the oil changes before I owned this runner must have snagged the wires with a tool and pulled them loose. this seems like a needle in a haystack but thought if it happened on my runner it could happen to others. I hope this helps someone else on here

I just got my 00 LTD and it too came with ABS light on so thanks to some research on the forums and youtube, I used the paperclip to short E1 to Tc in Diagnosis module next to the engine and at 1st the Cruise Control light blinked, but after pulling out the short pin at the far left top of the box and checking again, the ABS did throw code 33 which is right rear sensor.
