ABS sensor replacement

I didn't see anything posted on this when I was looking so here's some info

I had to replace the driver front abs sensor after breaking it off to do my hub and bearing job. After installing my new one, the lights still stayed on. Found some obscure info about resetting the light. Short pins 4 and 13 in the obd port, turn ignition to the run position and abs lights should flash. Hit the brakes several times until you hear beeping. Pull the short out of the obd port and turn the car off for a few seconds then back on. Lights cleared and abs appears to be operational now.

SO...I redid the sensor wires last night, fully soldered..contained in rubber tubing and heat shrink on both ends.


I am still throwing the ABS VSC Off etc 3 lights. I tried the procedure above, and even did the 35 minute short of 4 and 13 on the OBD....


Any other ideas on how to get these lights off??? I even have a scanner and while I can pull up the error, it wont allow me to clear the codes.

Did you put a tester on the repaired wire to confirm voltage was going through?

Yes, both wires tested good after repair.

Did you pull out the short while the key was in the run position? Mine stayed on until it was in run and then pulled the short out.

What were the resistance values and did you verify they were not shorted to each other?

****** A zero point calibration has cleared all of my lights including the ABS light. Havent driven it yet, but I expect Ill be all set!
