ABS/Speed Sensor issue... what's next?

Hi all. I have the no speedo/dash lit up like a Christmas tree issue since installing new shocks and it's clear that one of my speed sensors is pooched. I got it tested and the code given is for my rear right side sensor.

We've checked connectivity all the way from the sensor to the wiring harness at the axle and it seems fine. Sensor itself gives the same resistance as the others. I'm gonna have to take apart the dash to get at the skid harness in there, but I don't see why the wire would have been broken past the axle wire harness when I was changing my shocks.

Anyone who has been able to fix this - did the issue immediately go away when wire was fixed, or the sensor replaced, or did you have to clear the code first? I feel like it might have just been loose when we checked it...

Thanks

When I reconnected my sensor, it cleared as soon as I drove around for a bit.

Well, it looks like I'll have to take apart my dash do get at the skid harness. Has anyone done that? Wondering how much of a pain it is.
