I had a noise appear recently that made a loud screech every now and then while I was driving. It only would happen when the AC was on. I pulled the belt today after hearing the idler often went bad. I actually bought a new idler, which I will have to install since the adjustment bolt snapped. When I spin the compressor pulley I get a brief metallic noise. This is not normal correct? I have a diagram of the clutch, has anyone replaced this themselves?
