I'm having an issue with the AC on my 2003 4Runner. When the vehicle in just idling I put on the AC and it blows cold for a while then the AC light on the dash starts blinking. I noticed that the AC works perfectly when I'm driving and the rpm is above 1,000. The minute I slow down for a speed bump or come to a complete stop the light starts blinking and no cold it blows from the vents. I turn the AC off then back on and it starts to work again but only when driving. Driving on open road no issues. Only when slowing down and coming to a stop.
It's like the compressor disengages.
What do you think is the problem. It's certainly not the relay as I checked this already.
