L LexusFTW New member May 27, 2010 #2 When a system is discharged, it's best to replace the dryer and vacuum the system. It's also a good idea to inspect or replace the expansion valve. You can recharge it yourself and if it doesn't work, you're only out what you spent on the fluid.
