AC refill

okay i search through this thread for ac refill on where it is located...i duno where it is located to refill it if someone can help me please its not in the 2003 v6 4 runner manuel

okay i knew it was either the h cap or the L cap but when i refeilled it it didnt blow out cool air like ac suppose to....its seems like its outside air and it says that its filled

You fill on the low side. There is no way you can fill on the high side other wise you'd be forcing the freon in the A/C system into the recharge can.

Did you fill the low side while the car is on with the A/C on high? The low side A/C line should have started sweating indicating that freon was flowing.

If you have filled and the A/C still isn't cold, then you probably have a bad compressor.

yah that is what i am thinking i filled it with the ac running full blast and nothing happen soo i had an appointment put in to get it checked out but the heat is killer

First check to see if the clutch on the compressor is engaging. If not then it is most likely the relay. The relay for it has been replaced with an upgraded one, since this is a known issue. I had to replace mine.

wow thanks alot i checked the number and it matched up wow....i live in wa soo it rains alot and dont need ac but these hot days a/c is a must thanks for all the help i think ill take it to the dealer with the right number for the a/c relay now.....
