Get a Viper to give you a push. ;)

What intake do you have? The cheapest and effective intake setup on the 3.4 is the deckplate/drop-in filter and ISR mod.

Have you tried synthetic oil? It offers less friction and in theory, more performance. I just made the switch so I can't testify to its performance.

go to the dealership and tell the service writer you want the trd supercharger installed. sure it's expensive but it's acceleration that matters right?

You should be aware that the term "acceleration", as applied to the 2nd and 3rd generation 4Runners should be, instead, "Gathering Speed".

In both cases, the basic physics of the situation is that a heavy vehicle propelled by a small-displacement engine won't yield jet-like acceleration in any event. Even the 3.4 supercharger will do no more than mildly boost performance.

If you must have 15-sec 1/4 miles, give it up and buy a 4th gen V-8. Attempting to squeeze a quart out of a pint is sure to dissappoint, one way or another.

Good luck!

ive seen a couple tacoma's and 4runners with 300hp running the supercharger and a few other mods, and im sorry, but that is just going to be a fast truck

If they were stripped out Tacoma single cabs, I could see that. But having 300hp is nothing on a 4Runner. I have probably 240 or so, but it's still SLOW.

Now, these trucks are fast. www.supracharged.com

I, personally, do not care too much about acceleration in a truck. That's what my CBR is for. Only mods I do on the 4Runner will be ones that will improve the truck in areas that it was built for. These exhausts, intakes, etc. are a waste of money, IMO.

I have the K&N intake system on my ride , it help out alittle bit on acceleration but now i have the supercharger so it take off nicely.. hehe

if you have the 3.4L engine like mine.. it would probably cost you about 1200.00 and up for a used one.. but good source is Ebay .. just look up TRD or Trd supercharger ... not sure if they have for the 4 cyclinder engines ... oh if you want to go to the dealer it would run you about $3grand .. plust another almost $1grand to to have them install it .. or you can buy it and do it yourself.. not too hard.. hope that helps.. , Mike

Oh one more thing.. if you have a lead foot .. gas sucks up like drinking beer !!! if you know what i mean but true.. exhaust doesn't really do anything much unless you have the header aswell.. but when i put in the K&N intake .. at 4000RPM you can feel your engine ROAR !!! Now wid the supercharger and the exhaust , plus the K&N .. i hear it windz at 2500rpm .. and it sounds sweet.. Just to let you know.. hehe
